Grant Proposal 7232:
In the Fall of 2015, I took a class named Technology Leadership. In this class, we learned many things, but the most important element that I took from this class was; What it takes to develop, produce, and successfully complete a Professional Development Course. I am a school teacher, so I am no stranger to Professional Developments, or Professional Learning Communities(PLCs) as we call them in my school. But I never had a clue how much effort, time and head ache it takes to foist fined a need, and then develop the course, and then find funding to actually teach the course. Completing this grant Proposal opened my eyes to the many factors that lead to Professional Developments. |
FRIT 7232- One of my first websites that I created to curate my resources from my Technology Techniques, the website is one of a kind. It contains artifacts form the class, a short Bio of myself, and different techniques that can be used to supplement instruction in the classroom.

Evaluation Plan FRIT 7237-
During the evaluation plan process, I collaborated with two other students, and created an Evaluation plan that could/ can be used to evaluate Professional Developments. |
Reflection
This standard was one that showed me the reasoning behind evaluations, and being a leader in the professional community. Being a leader is not an easy task, especially when, in my case, the majority of the learners that I will evaluate are twice my age. Throughout this course, I was able to collaborate with colleagues to create two awesome learning experiences. The first learning experience came with designing the grant proposal. I never knew that it was such an extensive task to look for, find, provide a need, and then apply for grants to pay for Professional Development for teachers and/or Technology in the classroom. Growing through the process of creating a needs assessment, showing the need, drafting the proposal, really helped me understand the process. The other task they we did throughout my coursework, was create an evaluation plan that I can take to my own personal learning environment and use to evaluate professional learning. Before this task, the only evaluation I was aware of were TKES and test scores/evaluating my students. I never thought about how specialists were evaluated, and now I understand. The last artifact that I added as an artifact was an example of one of the websites created during my classes. I created a website for almost everyone of my courses to add artifacts and show my progress. I used the website builder weekly almost exclusively, and when it came down to create my portfolio, the building of the website was much easier then the beginning of the program. I have attached several artifacts above. To show a shared vision for technology (Element 1.1), strategic planning(Element 1.2), and policies procedures , programs and funding (Element 1.3) I have attached the Professional grant proposal. the grant proposal shows all of these elements. With the proposal I had to discuss at length the reasoning for needing the technology, how we would implement the technology, and how we would get the funding to apply for the grant. To also show a vision of technology in the classroom (Element 1.1) I attached a technology website. The technology featured on the website are web 2.0 tools that grab students focus, and keep them engaged while completing assessments. To show diffusion of innovations and change (Element 1.4) I have attached the evaluation plan. This plan is one that can be used to evaluate technology usage in the classroom. One could use this plan to help teachers and or schools to implement new strategies for technology usage.
